Jack Mackreth
Co-Founder / Director
After spending over a decade playing in The EFL and dealing with the day to day pressures and demands of professional football, Jack firmly believes that preparation for, ‘life after sport’, starts within your sporting career.
Since deciding to play football at a semi-professional level, Jack has developed a broad range of skills and a passion for business, as the founder and owner of Kyzen Sports.
Jack is heavily involved in department and staff management. He has helped develop a corporate culture which ensures the needs of our clients are met to the highest standard. Jack’s is also very much the face of our company. He regularly visits professional clubs to deliver informative tax seminars and works with a select number of ‘premium’ higher earning clients.
George Mansfield
Co-Founder / Director
George entered the accounting industry 10 years ago and has since gained vast knowledge of the financial sector. After working for one of Liverpool’s top corporate accountancy firms for several years, George established Kyzen Sports in 2017.
George is heavily involved with strategic operations, planning and the day-to-day management of the business. His financial expertise also facilitates the relationship with our wealth management and pension department.
Jamie Mackreth
Chartered Tax Advisor
Jamie is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation having assisted owner managed businesses, major corporates, and individuals on their tax strategies, for 9 years.
His expertise covers Income Tax Planning. Research and Development (R&D) tax credits, Patent Box, profit extraction strategies for owner managed businesses, OMB business advisory, and Inheritance Tax (‘IHT’) planning.
His role at Kyzen involves proactively working alongside our corporate clients to ensure the advice they receive is spot on.
Megan Garland
Office Manager
Our longest serving member of staff Megan has been with Kyzen Sports for more than 5 years. Before joining Kyzen Megan worked in the administration department of an accountancy firm.
Megan’s ambition and drive are her key attributes, this is best referenced by her willingness to study AAT Level 1 & 2 & 3 in night school whilst raising a family and working full time. She is also currently studying a level 3 qualification in Team Leadership.
Megan is an experienced manager who regularly deals with HMRC enquiries regarding client tax codes. She also assists her colleagues whenever necessary, by ensuring that work schedules and diaries are kept organised, and processes are followed in line with company documented procedure.
Patrick Mansfield
Head Of Operations
Before working at Kyzen Patrick completed a Law Degree at Oxford Brookes University. After finishing University Patrick was offered a Graduate Job at a multinational pharmaceutical company.
He worked in their Business Operations team before electing to undertake a Master’s Degree.
Patrick initially joined Kyzen Sports on a part time basis to help support his studies. However, he quickly became a key part of the business and has been afforded numerous opportunities to continuously improve his understanding of the financial sector. He has a hand in most aspects of the general operations of the business but primarily oversees work conducted by the Rugby and Marketing departments.
He is also heavily involved in business development.
Max Reid
Tax Senior
Max graduated from Liverpool Hope University with a degree in Accounting and Finance. Originally, from Herefordshire he secured a Graduate Tax Accountant position in a Liverpool based accountancy firm before joining Kyzen Sports.
Since then, Max has become an important team member and has even developed a new framework to help manage our client onboarding procedure. Max has also worked closely with our Head of Operations Patrick, after being given the responsibility of building and running a team dedicated to our Rugby Union clients.
Isobela McMillan
Accounts Assistant
Isobella joined our team on a part time basis in Autumn 2021, she is a 3rd year Accounting and Finance Student at Liverpool John Moores University.
She is currently relishing in her opportunity to learn about the world of finance from a practical and theoretical point of view. When she graduates from University, she wishes to carry on her studies by completing ACCA professional accounting exams.
She works in a varied role at Kyzen Sports, under the supervision of Jamie for our Accounts team. She primarily undertakes administrative tasks, conducts phone calls, assists in meetings, and helps prepare accounts.
Thomas Pender
Accounts Senior
Tom graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a BSc in Accounting and Finance in 2019. He aspires to become a fully chartered accountant and is currently studying towards his ACCA qualification.
Having Joined Kyzen from the Corporation Tax Team at BDO, where he was tasked with regularly assisting large multi-national organisations. Tom has excelled in his role as an Accounts Senior.
His broad accountancy knowledge and eagerness to continuously learn has allowed Tom to work on a number of different projects here at Kyzen Sports. He currently works closely with our Chartered accountant Jamie, helping to prepare R&D claims, Corporation Tax Returns and VAT Returns.
Robyn Randles
Credit Control
Robyn oversees Credit control at Kyzen Sports. She is involved in chasing invoices, negotiating payment plans, and creating Personal Tax Accounts. She also liaises with HMRC for status updates on when payments are due to be made and ensures that the client information, we have provided to them, is accurate.
She has always been interested in accounting and business operations, in her previous employment she worked as an office manager for a small accountancy firm.
Liam Fitzgerald
Tax Senior
Liam is an experienced tax senior who is an integral member of our team. Liam initially, began studying Criminology at Liverpool John Moores University before electing to pursue a career in finance. Prior to joining Kyzen Sports Liam worked as an apprentice Tax Assistant in a small firm.
Liam is a member of our football department and is primarily involved in the completion personal tax returns, dealing with client tax queries and hosting expenses meetings.
In his spare time Liam regularly competes in amateur boxing.
Ryan Byrne
Tax Senior
After spending 18 months completing an apprenticeship in the finance department at the University of Liverpool, dealing with budgets and company invoicing, Ryan had ambitions to join an accountancy practice.
He originally worked in a tax assistant role here at Kyzen Sports, before being promoted to the Tax Senior position due to his eagerness to learn and impressive work ethic.
Ryan has been integral to the Rugby Department since joining Kyzen Sports and has been involved in both foreign income tax enquires and the completion of personal tax returns.
Nathan Byrne
Digital Marketing Assistant
Our newest member of staff Nathan was offered a role at Kyzen Sports after he demonstrated a brilliant attitude and willingness to learn whilst completing a work placement.
He is currently undertaking a finance apprenticeship and aspires to become an accountant.
He works primarily under the supervision of both Jamie and Patrick, they provide him with support and advice as he continues his professional development.
Jack Bailes
Tax Assistant
Jack was offered a graduate position at Kyzen Sports after completing an Economics and Finance degree at Newcastle University.
Jack works in varied role but primarily deals with accounts preparation for the football department and client onboarding whilst being supported through professional qualifications.
He has an extremely positive attitude towards work, he is collaborative, trustworthy, receptive to feedback, and eager to further his understanding of the financial sector.
Tim Jellicoe-Smith
Head Of Marketing
Tim is a marketing expert who loves sport. As an undergraduate Tim studied Sports Business and Marketing at UCFB, graduating in 2016 and In 2020 he completed an Masters Degree in Performance Analysis.
He has been at the forefront of our recent rebrand complete with a new website and engaging social media presence. To promote our brand, he conducts weekly ‘Coffee Club’ and ‘Kyzen Explained’ videos which may be viewed on our social media platforms.
He also has an excellent working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and has previous experience working within Web Design, Marketing and Customer Service.
Tim has a strong passion for football.
Callum Madigan
Tax Junior
Before joining Kyzen, Callum worked in customer service whilst studying business management at the University of Liverpool.
He has since graduated and has gained vast experience of the Accounting & Finance sector. He works under Max’s supervision dealing with accounts preparation for the Rugby department and HMRC enquiries whilst being supported through professional qualifications.
James Wilde
Tax Junior
Tax assistant James started working for Kyzen Sports in Autumn 2021 after finishing a Maths degree at Liverpool John Moores University. James worked in customer service whilst studying, a skill that he has been able to use effectively when liaising with clients here at Kyzen Sports.
James is confident conducting expenses calls and regularly communicates with the clients on any basic tax related issues. He also helps ensure senior team members have all the required information from the client so that they can advise on any complicated tax queries.
Joshua Hill
Tax Assistant
Originally, from Dudley in the West Midlands, Josh joined our team as a Graduate Tax Assistant in the summer of 2021. Josh’s desire to join the financial sector began at university where he performed well in his Accounting, Investment Financial Analysis and Corporate Governance modules.
At Kyzen Sports Josh’s role is very much client facing. He works primarily with our football clients, conducting expenses meetings independently and ensuring that all documentation relating to their personal tax return is accurately and contemporaneously maintained, so that work can be completed on time and to the highest standard.
